How to Help Western North Carolina Recover

We encourage everyone to give to reputable organizations and donate to community supply drives sponsored by your local county governments or local charitable organizations.

As many roads are still impassable in Western NC, do not collect supplies to drive to this area. Utilize established organizations that can help get these supplies to the people that need help.

In times of disaster, there are many scams that try to use an individual’s strong desire to help to get them to donate to fraudulent charities. Be sure that the organization you choose to give to is one that is trusted.
