A-B Tech Awards More Than $500,000 in Scholarships

The A-B Tech Foundation was able to award more than $500,000 this past fall for the academic year. Students received up to $2,000 to assist them with their studies at the college.
Ronald Scott, recipient of the Lacy T. Haith and James V. Miller Endowed Scholarship, shared his plans for the future. “Upon graduation from A-B Tech, I want to obtain a bachelor’s degree in either Physical Education or Counseling. I will continue my position in the counseling office at the high school as it is a passion of mine. I fully enjoy working with the students, as well as learning along the way.”
The next round of scholarships will open for applications on January 11, 2021, with awards to be announced in June. The scholarships are available for any program at A-B Tech, with some specifically targeted for Cosmetology, Art, Culinary, STEM, Emergency Services, and many other areas of study. There are also scholarships for women, minorities, and single parents.
