The multicultural Different Strokes! Performing Arts Collective theater company is holding auditions for actors of all ethnicities for the 2012-13 season.

Experienced actors are asked to bring a headshot or recent photograph and a monologue to read. For those with no experience, both can be provided. Auditions will be held February 11 from noon until 4 p.m., at Asheville High School Theater at 419 McDowell St.

The four plays on the schedule are:

A Lesson Before Dying – A prison drama set in 1948 Louisiana, by
Rommulus Linney. Production April 27 to May 6. Call backs February 12,
2012.

Clybourne Park – A 2010 play written as an alternative view to Lorraine
Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun. By Bruce Norris. Production August
9-19.

Romeo Loves Juliet, A Modern Love Story – The Shakespeare classic with a
slightly different orientation. Production November 8-18, 2012.

Apocalypse – An original work based on interviews with transgendered men and women. Production June 20-30, 2013.
