Literacy Together – Summer Internship Opportunity

Literacy Together has an excellent paid summer internship opportunity for young adults between the ages of 15 to 23 with a priority for youth of color.

You will be trained as reading tutors for kids in Grades K to 5 attending summer camp at either Youth Transformed for Life or Christine W. Avery Learning Center.

The campers are primarily youth of color, many of whom would benefit from a champion to inspire them to become strong readers. Interns will receive an initial intensive training in an established multi-sensory approach to teaching reading, and the campers will be pre- and post-tested to measure their progress.
