Celebrate the holiday season at the Governor’s Western Residence during the Holiday Open House, Sunday, December 8, 2019 from noon to 3 p.m.
Gov. and Mrs. Roy Cooper are expected to be at the residence to welcome guests. Reservations are not needed to attend. Guests are invited to tour the residence, which has been decorated for the season.

The Western Residence features breathtaking views of Mount Pisgah and downtown Asheville. Built in 1939, the home was donated to the state in 1964 by the Asheville Chamber of Commerce. It has been used by 11 administrations and is one of only four official state second residences in the United States.
The N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources uses the state’s natural and cultural resources to build the social, cultural, educational and economic future of North Carolina.
