Public Invited to a Forum for Judicial Candidates
The League of Women Voters of Asheville- Buncombe County and the 28th Judicial District Bar Association will hold a forum for judicial candidates on Friday, October 13 at 4:00 p.m. in the fifth floor courtroom in Buncombe County Courthouse in Asheville.
The three judicial races covered by the forum are for Associate Justices of the state Supreme Court – Judge Robin Hudson v. Judge Ann Marie Calabria, incumbent, and Judge Mark Martin, incumbent, v. Rachel Hunter; District Court Judge for District #28 – Judge Sharon Barrett, incumbent, v. Susan E. Wilson.
The forum is free and open to the public. The audience will have the chance to submit questions to the candidates in writing. Retired Judge Earl Fowler will moderate. The forum is co-sponsored by The North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement at UNCA and The Leadership Asheville Forum.
