Black History Brunch
Join the YMI on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for this free Black History Brunch.
Celebrate the rich legacy of African Americans and Labor—honoring the contributions, struggles, and triumphs of Black workers throughout history. Featured speakers Chaz Beasley and Sean Palmer will consider the Labor Movements in the African American experience. This is the national theme for the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, formed under the father of Black History Month, Carter G. Woodson.
Discuss the histories of the past, the successes we currently enjoy, and the challenges ahead over a curated brunch experience. This event is sure to provide engaging discussions, powerful storytelling, and a celebration of the resilience and impact of Black labor movements.
