We beg you to stay home and care for the health of our community.

Some do not have the choice to stay home because they do not have one. We deliver food and information during these long lonely nights.

And we continue to beg Buncombe County Government and Asheville City Government to bring our friends on the streets inside hotels or other equivalent housing now!

We believe in the power of community. We will mobilize to take care of our neighbors. We need each other. And we are here especially to help those at the most risk: our elders, our African American and Latinx communities, families living on a low income, workers, and people living on the streets. We will be offering a myriad range of supports from health and safety as well as survival supplies like food, hygiene, and medicine.

We hold our community in our hearts.

We will be checking on elders. We will be advocating for policies that help people in our community like public restrooms, rent relief, and more. Our street medics will provide prevention and education to people without homes.

Recognizing that hypertension is an underlying issue for severe covid19 symptoms, we will support communities at high risk of hypertension especially our African American and Latinx communities with survival support, coping with stress, and resilency. We will be sharing resources and information in Spanish and resourcing people who cannot access all of the institutional resources.

We will be offering resources to children who are not in school. We will be supporting families and workers who lose income and cannot pay for survival needs. We will be able to help elders on fixed incomes with medicine, food, and other needs. And more as needs arise.

Our gifts are innovation, creativity, persistence, and adaptability. We will use all of these gifts for the deepest good of our community. This is a time to once again live into our name and Be Love/d. Let’s do this together and rise to the best of our humanity!
