Members of the Asheville Survival Program are on the street!
They are meeting folks where they’re at, getting sandwiches, coffee, info/resource packets, 2,000 calorie food packs, and hand sanitizer to houseless and in need folks.
Formed in 2020 as a response to current challenges, Asheville Survival Program (ASP) builds mutual aid networks with oppressed communities, and promotes solidarity and sharing. The group believes in the power to build a world outside of the violent and oppressive state.
Staying safe at home is completely unavailable to folks who don’t have homes. Facilities that normally provide food, shelter, and restrooms are shutting down. ASP is working to fill some of those gaps. DIY hand washing stations and prison support are in the works.
You can support the group by visiting their FaceBook page, or through venmo @AVLsurvival. Every $10 & $20 donation gets utilized!
