Asheville Buncombe County NAACP will not meet in December, but will reconvene on January 8, 2019 in the Sanctuary of Hill Street Baptist Church.

At that time we should have a slate for elections of new officers. Current members must ensure their membership dues are current, since it is necessary to be a member in good standing for 30 days before elections in order to vote. Anyone who wishes to run for office must be a member in good standing for six months before the election. Contact if you are interested in running for office or need a membership form to keep your membership current or bring it up-to-date.

In this season of giving, one of the most important gifts you can give is to the community. There are many organizations doing grassroots work that directly benefits young people, their families, and those surviving at the margins. Asheville Buncombe County NAACP supports and endorses the following organizations. Go to their Facebook pages to make a donation or contact them to learn more about what you can do to help them forward their mission:

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Happy Hanukkah, Joyeux Noël!
