Youth Group Provides Cookies for the Holidays

The Ethical Society of Asheville is inviting kids of all ages to the second annual YouthQuest community Cookie Decorating Party in the community room at Earthfare (Westgate) from 4-7 p.m., November 30, to decorate, package (and sample!) holiday cookies.

Last year 26 pounds of home-baked cookies were provided for Loving Food Resources. This year cookies will be donated to several local non-profit programs, including Room in The Inn, a program serving homeless women, as well as Channel of Grace, a church coalition that provides breakfasts in Pritchard Park, and Meals on Wheels.

YouthQuest, sponsored by The Ethical Society of Asheville, invites families to deliver cookie packages to hungry children in the community (and doggy cookies for beloved pets, donated to Asheville Humane Society) December 1 and 2. For more information about YouthQuest and this event, visit our Facebook page at tinyurl.com/asj3746 or e-mail [email protected]. The activities are free, but RSVP is appreciated.
