Seven Ways to Save Big at Ingles

1. Plan Ahead. Planning out a menu and writing a shopping list will help keep you on track and prevent impulse shopping. Use the circular in the paper, in our stores or on-line at www.ingles-markets.com to see what is on sale and write out a list or program it into your phone or smart-phone. (Special Tip: If you check our on-line sales pages www.ingles-markets.com/weekly you can make up a shopping list and print it out while looking through the ad!)

2. Sign up for Ingles Advantage Mail. Go to our website (www.ingles-markets.com) and sign up for our Advantage Mail program with your Ingles Advantage card number. You will be sent an e-mail every Sunday to alert you when products you normally buy are on sale and also receive special deals and coupons loaded directly to your Advantage card!

3. Couponing. Use coupons for brand name products. Check Sunday’s sales inserts in the paper and clip coupons. Go to manufacturer websites or Facebook pages to see what coupons they offer. Sign up with a coupon saver website that will help you match deals with coupons.

4. Private Label/Store Brands. Buy store brand items to save money without sacrificing taste. Ingles store brands like Laura Lynn and Harvest Farms can help save lots of money at check out.

5. Family Packs and Bulk Shopping. Buy your meat/chicken/pork in family packs to save at least 30cents per pound. Either cook the meat/chicken/pork all at one time and freeze for later use or separate it out into freezer bags. Take advantage of bulk items in some of our produce sections. Buy fruits and vegetables in large bag quantitites rather than individual units. Compare unit pricing on items throughout the store and when it makes sense, buy non-perishable items in larger quantitites

6. In-Store Savings. Not all sale items are advertised! Scan the shelves for special in-store deals and be sure and look on top and bottom shelves and check the unit prices. (Special Tip: check for discontinued items near the front of the store or with special ORANGE tags to stock up and save.)

7. Buy Produce In-Season. Typically in-season produce will be less expensive. Buy and freeze, can or preserve.
