Wake Up, Take Command with Man Camp-RX
Increase your capacity to serve your family, your community, and yourself with integrity.

Man Camp RX, a structured personal development and accountability experience for men, is preparing to launch its first local chapter in Asheville.
The founding chapter will be hosted by Maceo Z. Keeling, author, podcaster, public speaker, and Man Coach.
Man Camp RX is a guided growth experience for men who are ready, willing, and able to participate in their transformation by strengthening their identity.
The program is organized around four movements: Wake Up, Take Command, Build the House, and Serve the Village. Participants examine identity, habits, relationships, responsibility, leadership, and service through guided conversations, written field drills, and self-accountable follow-through. The work is direct, but it is not built on humiliation, posturing, or punishment. Instead, it is built on preparation with purposeful practice.
“A man cannot govern a house, a team, or a community while remaining a stranger to himself,” Keeling said. “Man Camp RX begins with identity—because performance without self-knowledge eventually becomes a cage, a kind of self-incarceration.”

The Asheville founding chapter is being designed as a 13-week cohort with weekly 90-minute core meetings, local in-person council gatherings, and field assignments between sessions. The ideal cohort size is 8 to 12 men, so that each participant can be known, challenged, and held to a clear standard—their own.
Nickersons Press will publish Volume One of the Man Camp RX journey, AWAKE: Stories, Principles and Field Drills for the Man Ready to Govern His Own Life. The volume weaves personal story, practical principles, and field drills into a working guide for men who are ready to stop outsourcing responsibility for their lives.
The first Asheville Chapter Lunch and Learn will be held in the West Asheville Branch of the Buncombe County Library, 945 Haywood Rd., at noon on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Community partners, media organizations, churches, employers, and civic groups are invited to request a briefing or sponsorship packet.
Man Camp RX is an educational and personal development program. It is not medical care, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, or a substitute for licensed professional services. Keeling says, “We aren’t developing alpha males, tough guys, or super heroes. We are guiding men to meet the hero inside themselves.”
