Earth Day 2014 Celebration Events
Thursday, April 17 – RiverFront Bus Tour, 11:45 a.m. until 2 p.m., meet at the Asheville Chamber of Commerce. $20. Registration required, call (828) 252-8474.
Friday, April 18 – Environmental Legacies, salon with Dr. Frank Kalinowski on “Politics, Policy, and American National Character.”
3 p.m. at RiverLink, 170 Lyman Street.
Saturday, April 19 – Asheville Earth Day celebration, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Lexington Avenue in downtown Asheville. RiverLink will have a booth in the eco-village. Educational activities, see the enviroscape, and paint a rain barrel.
Tuesday, April 22 – Happy Earth Day! Two service projects in Ross Creek from 3-5 p.m. Apply storm-drain stencils; creek cleanup. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and shoes that can get wet.
