Seniors – Help Yourself by Helping Others!

The Senior Companion Program at Land-of-Sky Regional Council is taking applications for Senior Companion Volunteers. Senior Companion Volunteers are adults 60 years of age and older, living on limited income, who commit to helping other seniors in their community for 15 to 40 hours per week.

In return for their volunteerism they are paid a tax-free stipend of $2.65 per hour, vacation, sick leave and paid holidays. The stipend is not counted as income and therefore cannot affect other benefits. In addition to receiving a stipend, the feeling of helping others is priceless.
