SASHTO Dollars Program

Asheville will host the Southeastern Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (SASHTO) conference from August 24-28. SASHTO consists of officials from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Between 1,000 to 1,200 delegates and guests are planning to attend this year’s conference. Registered conference delegates will receive $25, in $5 increments, in SASHTO Dollars. Guests of delegates will receive $20 SASHTO Dollars. The dollars will have dollar-for-dollar face value; no discount is involved. By participating, your business could see significant traffic during the SASHTO conference.

Each participating business will be given a SASHTO sign to display in their windows. SASHTO will also provide each conference attendee, and guest, a listing of participating businesses, as well as a map to each location.

SASHTO Dollars will be valid only from August 24-27, 2013. Participating businesses will collect the SASHTO Dollars and return them to the Asheville Visitors Center, located at 36 Montford Avenue in Asheville, for full reimbursement. Reimbursement will be provided by check until noon on Wednesday, August 28. Participating businesses can choose whether to be reimbursed daily, or with a single check on the last day.
