Ram Tough!
Winston-Salem State Ransacked Johnson C. Smith University’s Golden Bulls in 56 Point Rout
Kam Smith and Winston-Salem State’s juggernaut offense were devastatingly brilliant in their October 6th, 63-7 dismantling of Johnson C. Smith University.
The Rams’ senior quarterback threw for five touchdowns in the first half, and completed 13 of his 15 passes for 259 yards extending the Rams’ winning streak against the Golden Bulls to 12.
The Rams scored on all seven of their first half possessions, racking up 399 yards before halftime. At 14:39 for time of possession, the Golden Bulls had every opportunity to be competitive, but the Rams’ suffocating defense held JCSU scoreless until the 3rd quarter.
Smith sat out for the second half, but that didn’t stop the Rams’ offensive explosion. Running back Maurice Lewis exploited a weak Golden Bulls’ defense for three touchdowns.
The Rams will attempt to move to 7-0 as they host the St. Augustine Falcons October 13.
