North Carolina continues to set troublesome records related to COVID-19. Last Friday, November 6, 2020 we recorded 2,908 cases in a single day. On Wednesday, November 11, NC recorded 3,119 cases for the day.

COVID-19 infections have been increasing across the United States at the fastest rate since the start of the pandemic; more than 30 states are now reporting in excess of 1,000 new cases daily. An American is testing positive for COVID-19 every 1.2 seconds.

The United States shattered pandemic records, reporting more than 153,000 new coronavirus cases on November 12 as some 66,000 people were hospitalized nationwide. It was the seventh time in nine days that reported US infections reached new heights. November 13 marks the tenth day in a row that the US has reported more than 100,00 infections. Experts predict we could soon be seeing 200,000 cases per day.

The US has recorded more than 1 million new coronavirus cases in just the past 10 days as the national total soared past 10 million cases amid a widespread surge. Daily cases for the US have steadily climbed throughout November to record a total of 1,129,463 cases in the last 10 days alone, according to figures from Johns Hopkins University.
