Dancing, Drums, and Dreams Celebration

by KaChina Davine –
Asheville Rhythm will host their annual New Year’s Eve celebration, “Dancing, Drums, and Dreams ~ A Rhythmic Celebration of the New Year” with music for dancing provided by world music super-group Free Planet Radio and KalimbaMan Kevin Spears.
The festivities will be held at Eliada on Thursday, December 31 beginning at 8:30 p.m., and will also include a drum circle, sweet and savory light fare, inspirational readings, and a New Year’s Eve countdown.
The evening will close with a Sound Meditation to usher in 2016 in peace and with calm, focused intention. Folks are encouraged to bring their drums for the drum circle and their yoga mats if they want to lie down during the Sound Meditation.
Asheville Rhythm seeks to create a culture that promotes wellness through rhythm and bridges musical traditions through innovative collaborations.
