Winter Wonderland Deck the Halls, Lighting Celebration
Friday, November 20
From 5 to 8 p.m. the Historic Grove Arcade on Battery Hill decks its halls and lights the building for its 2015 Winter Wonderland. Celebrate the evening with more than 40 chorus members from the Asheville Symphony Chorus singing traditional and contemporary carols. The chorus sings for approximately 45 minutes, finishing with a rousing version of the classic Hallelujah Chorus.
For a $1 donation to MANNA Food Bank’s Backpack Program, children can make a holiday ornament to decorate a Grove Arcade Christmas tree or to take home. Have your photo taken with Santa, listen to holiday stories, and enjoy hot cider and refreshments. A continuing tradition, a selection of gingerbread houses from the Omni Grove Park Inn’s annual National Gingerbread House competition, will be on display at the Grove Arcade through January 3, 2016.
