The Partnership for Pastoral Counseling has been providing the low income, uninsured and underinsured communities of WNC access to affordable counseling services since 1996.

To help bring awareness to mental health in WNC the Partnership is hosting two events, while celebrating a momentous milestone in WNC.

Bridging Differences in a Polarized World:
Spiritual Wisdoms and Practical Tools Workshop

Thursday & Friday, May 12 & 13

The Partnership in conjunction with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, SE Region is hosting an educational workshop focusing on helping people increase their capacity to establish connection and nourish conversation with people who are vastly different.

Keynote presentations will be given by Terry Bellamy, MPA Director of Communication, Asheville Housing Authority, former mayor of Asheville; and Guy Sayles, D.Min., Asst. Professor of Religion at Mars Hill University and former pastor First Baptist Church Asheville.

Spring into Action Social, 20 Year Anniversary Celebration

Saturday, May 14

A celebration of providing WNC access to affordable counseling since 1996. Since conception the Partnership has contributed nearly 20,000 sessions of affordable counseling to the community. This event is a fundraiser that will support the client subsidy budget of the Partnership for Pastoral Counseling.

About the Partnership

The Partnership is a not-for-profit organization providing low-income, uninsured, and underinsured communities of WNC access to affordable counseling.

Clients served through the Partnership receive a personalized therapy plan with a professional counselor licensed in his or her respective field of mental health and have extensive training in theology.

The level of financial assistance is determined on the basis of total household income and family size. Minimum copayments are $10 per session.
