Focused on Increasing Number of Minority Providers in Buncombe County

The Dr. Charles Blair Health Parity Fund has been established with the goal of raising $100,000 by the end of the year to provide scholarships for minority youths pursuing health careers.

The Buncombe County Medical Society has partnered with Sisters of Mercy Services Corporation, Asheville-Buncombe Institute for Parity Achievement (founded by Dr. Blair), Three Streams Family Health Center, the Blair family, and others to raise funds and establish guidelines for the scholarships.
