Asheville FM is always on the lookout for volunteers with great ideas and an interest in community radio.

To become a DJ at Asheville FM, you must first be an active volunteer in any one of the many departments at the station. The local station provides on-air training to it’s volunteers and allows DJs in training to shadow experienced on-air personalities as part of the learning experience.

Asheville FM isn’t just a radio station, it is a service to our community. Send an email to [email protected] to RSVP for a Volunteer Info Session, which are always held the first Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. Head over to the station (864 Haywood Rd.) to learn more about how you can be a part of building our community.

The exciting last step in the Asheville FM DJ training course is hosting your own episode of the Sandbox Hour or Night School. Once your training has been completed, you can become a DJ at Asheville FM. A minimum number of volunteer hours are required before you can apply to host your own show.
