Mast General Store Kicks Off the Sharing Our Shoes Drive in Local Communities

A pair of shoes may mean little to those who have so many, but to others, a single pair can mean everything—for work, a job interview, even a date.

A donation of a pair of your gently worn shoes can make a huge difference in someone else’s life—and in yours.

Throughout the month of May, Mast Stores will gladly accept the shoes that, perhaps, didn’t quite spark your joy but are still in good condition. Any pair that still has some miles left on them will be welcome, from gym shoes to dress casual to business appropriate, and for all genders, ages, and uses.

Simply connect the shoes into pairs using a rubber band or by tying the laces together, and drop them off at your local Mast Store. They’ll wind up sparking joy in someone else’s life by helping them put their best foot forward.

Each Mast store has partnered with a local community-centered non-profit organization to reach as many folks as possible. In Asheville, Hillcrest Family Resource Center will distribute the collected shoes. The Resource Center assists public housing residents with healthy living and self-sufficiency skills by connecting with resources to address all needs, specifically empowering women and girls.
