Stargazing Events: March 2025

These events are free and open to the public—registration is not necessary to attend.

These stargazing events, held at Grassland Mountain Observatory in Madison County, normally conclude about three hours after sunset. Visitors cannot stay past the conclusion time.

Friday, March 21, 2025

In case of bad weather, the event will take place Saturday, March 22. A temporary gate code, required for entry, will be provided by 5 p.m. on the day of the event. Sunset occurs at 7:43 p.m. that evening, so you should be on your way home before 11 p.m.

Friday, March 28, 2025

In case of bad weather, the event will take place Saturday, March 29. A temporary gate code, required for entry, will be provided by 4 p.m. on the day of the event. Sunset on March 28 will occur at 7:48 p.m.
