Early Learning Program Assistant Director, Teacher, Substitute Teacher; Empowerment Childcare Teacher; Director of Facilities

Assistant Director

Reports to: Director of Early Childhood Care
Direct Reports: Program Coordinator
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Pay: $47k – $52k annually

The Assistant Director provides administrative, operational, and supervisory support to the Director of the Early Learning Program (ELP) and Empowerment Childcare (ECC) to ensure the smooth functioning of the department. This role is responsible for overseeing the Program Coordinator, maintaining required documentation for licensing and grants, organizing administrative tasks, and assisting with staff and family coordination. The Assistant Director must have a working knowledge of North Carolina Child Care environmental standards and support compliance with state requirements. This is a full-time, year-round, benefits-eligible position.

Early Learning Program Teacher

Pay: Starting at $15.75; potential for higher rates based on education and experience.

The Early Learning Program Teacher creates a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children in Early Childhood Education or NC Pre-K settings. This position develops individualized learning goals, monitors student progress, and ensures a seamless transition into pre-school or kindergarten. Additionally, it fosters family involvement, maintains communication with families, and integrates services provided by other professionals to support holistic child development.

Substitute Teacher

Reports to: Director of Early Childhood Education

Pay: Minimum $15.75 and up

The Substitute Teacher provides temporary classroom support to ensure a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children. This position collaborates with teaching staff to maintain daily operations, implements age-appropriate activities, and ensures the well-being of children in compliance with program guidelines. The role serves as an essential resource in maintaining continuity of care and education when regular teachers are unavailable.

Empowerment Childcare Teacher

The Empowerment Childcare Teacher ensures the safety, well-being, and engagement of children in the Empowerment Childcare Center. This position provides structured activities, maintains a clean and sanitary environment, and supports children and their families with professionalism and care. Serving both Motherlove participants and members, this role promotes a safe and stimulating environment while maintaining compliance with program guidelines.

Director of Facilities

Department: Administration
Reports to: Chief Financial & Operations Officer
