Time to Vote!

Be prepared to participate.

We urge every reader to vote!

The state Board of Elections has a very useful and informative website (www.ncsbe.gov/registering), with sections on how to register, the different ways you can choose to vote (absentee, early in person, by mail, in person on election day, etc.); and what you will need to be a voter whose vote will count.

In-person early voting takes place from February 15 until March 2, 2024. When you check in to vote at an early voting site, you may update your name or address within the same county if necessary.

Individuals who are not registered to vote in a county may register and immediately vote at that same site. Find an early voting site near you at vt.ncsbe.gov/EVSite.

Any North Carolina registered voter may request, receive, and vote using a mail-in absentee ballot. Find more details and request a ballot at www.ncsbe.gov/voting/vote-mail.
