Martin Luther King, Jr. Association College Scholarship Program
Area high school seniors are encouraged to apply.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Association of Asheville and Buncombe County’s college scholarship program is designed to support local students in pursuit of higher education.
Inspired by the belief that Dr. King’s message of love and peaceful protest can eliminate social, political, and economic injustice, the Association awards scholarships each year to area high school seniors who actively embrace Dr. King’s dream of improving racial harmony and social justice.
As many as 15 non-renewable scholarships are awarded annually to support students in their college journey. The scholarships can be applied to cost of attendance at any two- or four-year college or university in the United States. Scholarship awards are presented at an annual spring event hosted by the Association. Award amounts vary from $1,000 to $7,500, and applications must be submitted by April 15, 2023.
