A-B Tech Has More Than $500,000 in Scholarships Available

A-B Tech Student Hebron Cole, a recipient of the 100 Men and Women Minority Scholarship, is studying Radiology Technology.

The A-B Tech Foundation awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships last fall for the academic year and is set to give again for the 2021-22 year.

Students can receive up to $2,000 to assist them with their studies at the college.

The next round of scholarships is open for applications until April 2, 2021, with awards to be announced in June. The scholarships are available for any program at A-B Tech, with some specifically for Cosmetology, Art, Culinary, STEM, Emergency Services, and many other areas of study. There are also scholarships for females, minorities, and single parents.

Hebron Cole, recipient of the 100 Men and Women Minority Scholarship, is able to study Radiology through her award. “I am so blessed to be receiving this scholarship,” she said. “I plan to become a traveling radiology tech. My end goal is to go back to school and become a radiation therapist.
