American Red Cross Supports Long-Term Recovery Programs
Programming to support projects focused on individual, household, and community recovery and resiliency.
In response to Hurricane Helene, the American Red Cross is launching long-term recovery operations across the impacted states, including grant programming to support projects focused on individual, household, and community recovery and resiliency.
The Red Cross is accepting applications for projects that assist the long-term recovery of individuals and communities impacted by Hurricane Helene across North Carolina and Tennessee. Funding is focused in three areas of need:
1) Individual and Household Needs to address issues directly affecting hurricane survivors
2) Community Recovery Capacity Building to develop and empower local leadership to guide recovery activities
3) Community Recovery and Resiliency to support organizations in expediting recovery and making communities more prepared for future disasters
Information Sessions
Formal Information Sessions began on January 8, 2025, when the Application Portal opened, and will recur weekly. Recordings will be made available for those unable to join the live sessions.

- Thursday, January 23 at 3 p.m.
- Tuesday, January 28 at 11 a.m.
- Thursday, January 30 at 3 p.m.
- Tuesday, February 4 at 11 a.m.
- Thursday, February 6 at 3 p.m.

Grant decisions will be announced as they are awarded, declined, or put on hold.
