Lakesha McDay Named Vice President of Programs and Operations
An accelerator of change for Wilmington, NC foundation.
The Asheville native has been named executive vice president of programs and operations at New Hanover Community Endowment in Wilmington, NC.
Lakesha McDay, who has been at New Hanover Community Endowment (NHCE) since October 2022, has 25 years of leadership experience in equity, diversity and inclusion, strategic operations, human resource management, and leadership development.
At NHCE McDay is responsible for leading grant making, capacity building, learning and engagement, as well as the operational areas that keep NHCE running, compliant, and a place where people want to work.
McDay says, “I enjoy working for an organization that has great potential to be a true accelerator of change on this journey of equitable and generational transformation. It’s exciting and humbling!”
