Jazz for Justice Event Returns May 28, 2025
Pisgah Legal Services celebration raises funds, awareness of needs in WNC.

Hundreds of Pisgah Legal Services friends and supporters are expected to attend Jazz for Justice, an event planned for Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Highland Brewing Company in Asheville.
The evening will include live jazz music by The Brian Felix Organ Trio, gourmet food, and drinks. Tickets are now available for the event which starts at 5:30 p.m.
The program will feature reflections on the significant challenges experienced by local people and the nonprofit over the past year, particularly in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Ally Wilson, PLS Chief Development Officer, says, “We look forward to gathering together, celebrating how far we’ve come, and recognizing the resilience, strength, and determination of our community.”
Jerry Sternberg will also be honored posthumously at the event with the Arnold and Bernice Green Philanthropy Award in appreciation of his exceptional generosity and unwavering dedication to justice for the people and communities of Western North Carolina (WNC).
Wilson adds, “Jerry Sternberg was an extraordinary person, a long-time friend to Pisgah Legal, and philanthropist whose legacy continues to inspire us all to work together for a better, more just future.”
