Asheville Symphony Updates
All Asheville Symphony musicians, staff, and board are safe and accounted for.
Around town, you may have seen a quartet of Asheville Symphony musicians who are playing to help raise spirits and provide music to folks working hard on the ground across Asheville and the surrounding area.
Because of the effects of Hurricane Helene, Asheville Symphony has moved Masterworks 2: Legacy, featuring classical pianist Terrence Wilson, from the original October performance date to Saturday, January 18, 2025. Performances will still be at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Asheville.
All purchased tickets will be honored at corresponding performance times for the new date. If you had tickets and can no longer attend, please go to ashevillesymphony.org/update-masterworks-2-date-change.
Classical pianist Terrence Wilson performs Prélude from Bach’s English Suite No. 2 in A Minor, and Sonata in B Minor by Liszt.
No changes to the program will be made, and we look forward to hosting Terrence Wilson for the Emperor concerto this winter! For more details about the performance, please go to ashevillesymphony.org/event/masterworks-2-legacy.
We are also thrilled to announce that we are able to move ahead with Masterworks 3: Messiah as originally planned, with three performances: Friday, November 22 at 8 p.m.; and Saturday, November 23 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
We are looking forward to this opportunity to come together in our community for moments of inspiration and peace as we move into the holiday season. For more information about Masterworks 3: Messiah, or to purchase tickets, please go to ashevillesymphony.org/event/masterworks-3-messiah.
We look forward to seeing you again in coming weeks, Asheville!
