Mayoral Portrait Unveiling Ceremony and Recognition Reception

The City of Asheville will publicly unveil it’s official portrait of outgoing Mayor Terry Bellamy at a formal Mayoral Portrait Unveiling Ceremony at 5 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2013, in City Council chambers on the second floor of Asheville City Hall. The ceremony is open to all.
After the unveiling, the organization Friends of Mayor Bellamy will host a reception and fundraiser at the historic YMI Cultural Center at 39 S. Market Street in downtown Asheville.
The Friends group invites the public to attend and recognize Ms. Bellamy for her eight years leading Asheville, the largest city in western NC, as its first African American, and youngest ever, mayor.
