Stephen Curry and Halle Berry Partnership; Singer Ray J’s Health; Rapper TI and “The Fall Off”
A Look at Entertainment
by T.J. Moore –
When an NBA icon and an Academy Award-winning actress collaborate and build something together, amazing happens.
Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry and Halle Berry are entering the entertainment and media space with a shared vision. According to Sportico, Curry’s production company, Unanimous Media, has entered into a formal partnership with Berry’s content studio, HalleHolly, to develop and produce original projects across film, television, and digital platforms.
HalleHolly and Stephen Curry’s Unanimous Media Partner on First Look Unscripted Deal
Halle Berry and Holly Jeter’s HalleHolly have partnered with Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton’s Unanimous Media on a first-look unscripted deal aimed at empowering women-led projects. The partnership will focus on promoting stories rooted in authenticity and aspiration, with a mission to amplify underrepresented narratives. Chief Content Officer Sharla Sumpter-Bridgett will collaborate with Berry and Jeter to create compelling content.
Berry shed light on this update, saying, “It is rare to find a partner with such like-minded people. Holly and I are credibly aligned with Unanimous in our commitment to integrity in crafting bold, innovative stories and pushing boundaries to open hearts and minds.”
This means developing scripted and unscripted content centered on personal journeys, social impact, and culturally relevant experiences that connect sports with real-world issues.
Singer Ray J’s life has been tumultuous for the past few months. He was hospitalized less than two months ago with a heart ailment, and revealed on social media that doctors told him that he might not live past 2027.
Ray J Shares His Heart Is “Beating 25 Percent” After Hospitalization
Ray J said his heart is “only beating 25 percent” after he “almost died” while hospitalized for a severe case of pneumonia earlier in January. “My health is not OK, so I thank everybody for supporting and praying for me through everything I’ve been in the hospital.” Also thanking fans and family, including his sister Brandy, for their support throughout his medical ordeal, the 45-year-old added in the caption of his post, “Just almost died!! I’m alive because of your prayers.”
However, according to TMZ, the singer says he’s feeling great these days compared to his critical days, and that he’s been wearing a heart monitor for two weeks so his doctors can track his health.
Ray J said that a fan snatched the monitor from his chest during a set in Shreveport, Louisiana, and is offering money to whoever has the device.
Rapper TI opened up to People magazine recently about the moment he realized that his beef with 50 Cent had gone too far.
T.I. Takeover: Retirement, 50 Cent, Comedy + ATL Update
T.I. Takes over the Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show for the entire show!
TI appeared on the Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show where he talked about feeling like his son, King, had crossed a line when he wore a t-shirt that featured a photo of 50’s late mother, Sabrina.
“I said ‘That’s enough’ when I saw that t-shirt. I said, ‘Man, this is enough. Chill out, bro,’” he said. “I’m big on treating people the way I want to be treated. I don’t be out here just doing unto others in ways I don’t want to be done. So I don’t want to see my children doing others the way they like… Man, this is in response, but it’s over with. Let it go.”
The two rappers have been feuding in recent weeks after TI called out 50 for backing out of a Versus battle they allegedly both agreed to.
If Dreamville rapper J Cole doesn’t have many haters, you can count Joe Budden as one of the few and the proud.
J. Cole – The Fall-Off is Inevitable
Cole’s new album, The Fall Off, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, his seventh consecutive No. 1 project on the chart. Budden is one of the few who isn’t buying Cole’s spirit of taking it back to his roots.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Budden and his co-hosts discussed Cole traveling across the country in a beat-up Honda Civic similar to the one he drove when he first started rapping. After the car broke down in Phoenix, Arizona, Budden made it known that he was happy it happened.
Joe Budden Reacts to J. Cole ‘The Fall Off’ Album
“Nobody in the world could be happier that J. Cole’s Civic broke down, more than me,” Budden said. “I jumped for joy when the news came across my feed that J. Cole and this stupid performative Civic broke down.”
Cole had been traveling from North Carolina to the West Coast in the old-school Civic in promotion of The Fall Off. The album, which Cole had promised was his final, has sold more than 280,000 album-equivalent units. Despite Cole wanting to let fans in on his early days as a rapper as he sold copies of The Fall Off hand-to-hand, Budden was extremely skeptical of how genuine he was about it.
“God will humble you,” Budden said of the car breaking down. “That was fake humble. Stop with this ‘I’m rich, but I relate to you’ … You selling a lot of records and lying to my face in the process with this Civic sh-t. I’m glad that God was on my side with this.”
The North Carolina rapper made the rounds at Clark Atlanta University, Texas Southern University, and other local spots. The lore behind the vehicle took on a life of its own, with an X account dedicated to Cole crisscrossing the country.
