This past summer Aeroflow Health came together with Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity to fund and build one of the region’s most critically needed resources—housing.

Through a generous $55,000 donation, Aeroflow will fully sponsor the construction of a new, affordable, energy-efficient home.

Construction on the 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom home began this August in Habitat’s New Heights neighborhood (Phase II) located in West Asheville and is scheduled to finish in June 2026. Aeroflow’s Full House sponsorship helps make affordable homeownership possible for a local family.

“Supporting initiatives like Habitat for Humanity’s home build is a direct reflection of Aeroflow Health’s commitment to holistic well-being,” says Lauren Bennett, COO of Aeroflow Health. “We understand that stable housing is fundamental to health and dignity, and empowering our employees to contribute hands-on truly brings our mission to life, making a tangible difference in our community.”

Once approved for Habitat’s Homeownership program, the homebuyer—who would not qualify for a traditional mortgage—will contribute at least 200 hours of “sweat equity” (volunteer work) and then repay an affordable mortgage, not to exceed 30% of their monthly income. One of the most important reason for creating affordable, stable housing is that families in homes they can afford experience better education, health, and socioeconomic outcomes than those who lack decent housing.

“We are so grateful for Aeroflow’s Full House sponsorship,” said Andy Barnett, CEO of Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. “Thanks to this generosity, another local family has the opportunity to build a brighter future on the foundation of a stable, healthy home.”
