Three weeks after his sentencing to 10 years in prison for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, singer Tory Lanez will have a hearing for bail.
Lanez’s lawyers reportedly filed a motion to bail him out of jail as he appeals his judgement and sentence for shooting Megan. According to legal affairs reporter Meghann Cuniff, via X, the app formerly known as Twitter, the hearing was scheduled for Sept. 5.
While she didn’t have a copy of the docket, Cuniff claimed that the motion was filed on Aug. 28. The reporter also claimed that the forthcoming hearing will be presided over by Judge David Hereford, the same magistrate who sentenced the rapper in August. It is unclear if the court will grant Lanez an appeal or bail.

Queen Latifah wants inclusive, judgement-free medical care for the obese.
The award-winning actress is in a partnership with “It’s Bigger Than Me” to promote weight-inclusive medical care and to change how we discuss obesity. Sponsored by Novo Nordisk, the initiative provides a new symbol medical providers can place in their offices that indicates inclusive, attentive, and compassionate treatment for those who are obese.
Latifah pointed out the statistics regarding obesity in America and said it was something that she wanted to address. “Four out of 10 Americans are obese, and four out of five are Black women, “Latifah shared with People, “so this hits home for me.”
Latifah relayed that a family member she described as “morbidly obese” had experienced dismissive medical care due to their size. She also highlighted that she herself faced hurtful comments as a child for being a “big kid for her age.”
On the impact of weight comments, Latifah said, “Who knows how much of the world hasn’t been changed because someone said the wrong thing to a person, like ‘Hey, you’re too fat to do that,’ which made them not want to do that… And that’s our loss. That’s the world’s loss.”

During his tour stop at Los Angeles Crypto Arena recently, Drake surprised a lucky fan with a Chanel bag.
Before launching into his song “Child’s Play,” the rapper sent the audience in a frenzy when he walked across the stage with a silver Chanel bag.
The lucky lady who won the purse was aspiring actress and fan Priscela Izquierdo. After learning that it was Izquierdo’s birthday, the rapper shouted “It’s your birthday? Happy Birthday!” He then hunched down to congratulate the fan.
In the caption on her Instagram account, Izquierdo thanked Drake for making her birthday the “best” and showering her with love. According to Izquierdo’s video, the Classic Metallic bag is priced at an estimated $9,000.
Singer Lizzo is reportedly planning to sue the three dancers accusing her of sexual harassment and discrimination.

Lizzo’s attorney, Marty Singer, alleged accusers Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez were “happily carousing” and “gleefully reveling” while backstage at the Crazy Horse’s topless cabaret show in Paris, according to TMZ.
In newly surfaced images reportedly captured that night in March, the dancers posed with the cabaret show’s performers. Rodriguez and Davis smiled, while Williams posed for the pictures with a kissy face.
Allegedly, the Paris night in question took place after the Amsterdam incident outlined in the dancers’ lawsuit, wherein the trio claimed Lizzo pressured them into eating bananas from performers’ genitals at Bananenbar. The lawsuit, filed Aug. 1, claimed they’d been forced to attend the topless cabaret show in Paris as well.
