Employment Opportunity – Human Resources Manager
Come to beautiful, green Asheville, NC and work for us as our new Human Resources Manager. We are a high-performing, diverse non-profit Community Action Agency, committed to fighting systemic poverty and helping people who live on low-income transform their lives.
Compensation is $67,000 to $95,000 DOQ and a generous benefit package. Position is open until filled. Interviews to begin immediately.
We need an individual with a variety of skills and talents to provide hands-on direction and support for our HR activities. In collaboration with our Leadership Team and new DEI Manager, the HR Manager will continue to build on our rich history of helping people break the cycle of poverty.
The person in this position will perform responsible, confidential, complex administrative and professional work developing and implementing the organization’s diversity initiatives and strategies to recruit, hire, orient and maintain an inclusive workplace, support an equitable compensation and fringe benefit plan, and administer the Agency’s personnel policies, employee training and other human resources-related functions.
Education and Experience
Graduation from a regionally or CHEA-accredited four-year college or university with a Master’s degree in Personnel, Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration with an emphasis in HR Management, Industrial and/or Organizational Psychology, or related field and at least seven (7) years of experience in an upper-level HR position or five (5) years as an HR Manager/Director in a public or private non-profit organization. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
The person in this position must:
- Possess or be able to obtain a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
- Pass pre-employment screens and background checks.
- Comply with our COVID vaccination policy or qualify for a federal Exemption.
We prefer that the person in this position be bilingual in Spanish.
