A Look at Entertainment
by T.J. Moore –
Actress Megan Good is thinking about becoming a registered gun owner due to the rise of home invasions in Los Angeles. Good recently was a guest on Charlamagne’s new Comedy Central show Tha God’s Honest Truth where the actress said she’d feel more secure if she was armed.
“For a long time I felt like I didn’t but now with everything that’s going on, I would feel more comfortable with a gun,” she told Charlamagne. “Before my thought was if something did happen to me, would I have the time to pull out a gun to defend myself?” Good added that she would never want to hurt anyone, but it’s all about protection and self-defense.
Good’s concerns are really valid. In July, Rihanna’s LA home was broken into by intruders. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kelsey was a target of a home robbery where she and her two children were actually present during the incident. Recently, Jacqueline Avant, wife of music icon Clarence Avant was shot and killed during a home invasion.

Former Top Model contestant Toccara Jones is stepping in to defend Tyra Banks amid some allegations that the Smize founder and Dancing With The Stars host is exploiting some of the past contenders on America’s Next Top Model.
Jones told TMZ recently that it was unrealistic to expect Banks to hand out tons of cash to compete on the show because it was just a competition. Jones thinks Banks is well deserving of all the money she’s raked in from the decade-long series. Top Model made its debut in May of 2003. Banks was the show’s creator and executive producer until its final season in 2018.

Memphis will honor its late hometown hero, rapper Young Dolph, this month. On Dec. 15, 2021, an intersection at Dunn Avenue and Airways Boulevard near the Memphis Depot Industrial Park will be named after him according to Fox 13 reports. Young Dolph is getting this honor thanks to councilman J.B. Smiley.
The 36-year-old rapper was shot and killed on Nov.17, 2021, while at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies on Airways Boulevard in Memphis.
No matter how hard you may try, it is getting impossible to escape Steve Harvey on TV. ABC is making sure of that with its new courtroom show Judge Steve Harvey.

As reported by The Root, the 10-episode comedic reality series follows as, “Real-life people with real-life conflicts will present their case in his courtroom, ranging from family disputes, unpaid bets, sour friendships and everything in between. With the help of Nancy, his trusted bailiff by trade, Steve played by his own rules, basing his courtroom on his own life experiences and some good old common sense.”
“I’m extremely excited for the opportunity to continue my fruitful partnership with ABC and collaborate with them on my next venture,” Harvey said in a statement. “Viewers tuning into Judge Steve Harvey will watch as I tackle tough and at times, entertaining issues while providing much needed advice and gold old-fashioned common sense to the litigants in my court.”
