75th Annual Asheville Holiday Parade

The theme for this year’s parade, which takes place in downtown Asheville on Saturday, November 20, 2021, is “Celebrating 75 Years of Memories and Magic.”

The theme for this year’s parade is “Celebrating 75 Years of Memories and Magic.”

The Asheville Holiday Parade, presented by Bojangles of WNC, will roll, dance, and march through downtown Asheville on Saturday, November 20, 2021 beginning at 11 a.m. The parade will include a little something for everyone with more than 100 entries including marching bands, dance and cheer squads, youth sports, nonprofit organizations and for-profit businesses. decorated floats, adoptable pets from area rescue organizations, the Honored Veterans float, marching bands, performances, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The Asheville Holiday Parade is produced by the Asheville Downtown Association (ADA) in partnership with the City of Asheville. “We are hopeful and cautiously excited that we can bring the Holiday Parade back to our community this year,” said Meghan Rogers, ADA’s executive director.

The Asheville Downtown Association will monitor Covid-19 trends, consult with local public health and medical officials, and follow any guidelines set forth by the CDC, State of North Carolina, Buncombe County, and the City of Asheville.

The parade’s official performance stop is the corner of Biltmore and Patton Avenues, but attendees will find great viewing areas all along both main routes, Biltmore coming up from the south and Patton heading west. The parade ends on Patton Avenue at S. French Broad.

Parking is available in City of Asheville and Buncombe County parking decks, as well as private decks and surface lots throughout downtown. Several streets are closed or impacted by the parade. Attendees are encouraged to ride ART public transit, or to bike or walk to the parade to ease congestion.
