Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church
Monday, April 18 – The City Wide Revival Choir will begin rehearsing at Mt. Zion at 6:30 p.m. Rehearsal will be held every Monday and Thursday. For more information, contact Elder Damion McDay at (828) 974-1898.
The 37th Annual City-Wide Revival of Asheville’s Area Churches
May 15-20 – Rev. Billy Howze will kick off the services on Sunday and Monday night. Beginning on Tuesday, May 17, Dr. Leroy Elliott, the pastor of Greater New St. John Community Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago, Illinois, will be the guest evangelist for the rest of the week. Services will take place nightly at 7 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where Rev. Dr. John Grant is the pastor.
Union Grove Women’s “For Your Health” Conference
May 20 & 21 – This women’s conference will be held in the Union Grove Life Center, located at 901 Robinson Terrace (just off 7th Avenue) in Hendersonville, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The theme of the conference theme is Mind, Body, and Spirit. Keynote speakers for this event will be Terry Bellamy, former Mayor of Asheville, and Sis. Sandra Suber.
The cost for the conference is $15. There are grants available to those who would like to attend, but can’t afford to do so. For more information, contact Minister Diane Caldwell at (828) 290-5838.
Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church
Sunday, May 8 – Mothers Day Service will be held during the morning worship hour. Elder Alfred E. Blount will host this special service.
