sneezing_Flu.jpgThe Buncombe County Health Center is planning three days of flu shot clinics beginning Thursday, October 16. This year our walk-in Flu Shot Clinics are being planned for the entire family, age six months and older.
The clinics will be held in the Biltmore Square Mall near Belk. Flu shots will be available:   

• Thursday, October 16, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
• Friday, October 17, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• Saturday, October 18, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Cost for flu shots will remain $28 this year. Payment may be made by cash, check, Mastercard or VISA. To bill insurance, cards must be presented before a flu shot may be given.

Insurance cards accepted include Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part B, NC Health Choice, participating Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans (not Blue Care), Primary Physicians Care, Wells Fargo, and NC State Employee/Teachers Insurance. If insurance is billed and refuses payment, those who receive a shot will be responsible for payment of the bill. Citizens can call the Flu Hotline for more information at (828) 250-5300.
