Baptist Ministers Union 2026 Annual Holy Week Services

Good Friday Service takes place April 3, 2026 at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Services will be held Wednesday through Friday, April 1, 2, and 3, 2026.

The Baptist Ministers Union’s annual Holy Week Services will be hosted at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 486 Caribou Road in Asheville. Devotion will begin at 6:45 p.m. each evening followed by the Worship Service at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, April 1, the guest speaker will be Rev. Dewayne Jeter of Contemporary Baptist Church in Hendersonville, followed on Thursday, April 2 by Worship Leader Reverend Leslie Hines and speaker Dr. Joseph Parks of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

The Good Friday Service on April 3 will celebrate the Seven Last Sayings Of Jesus From the Cross. Speakers will be:

  • Reverend Dr. John Grant, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34)
  • Reverend Keyth Eddings, Fairmont Baptist Church. “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:43)
  • Reverend Charles Lee, Liberty Baptist Church. “Woman, behold your son!” and to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” (John 19:26-27)
  • Reverend William Hamilton, New Vision Baptist Church. “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Mathew 27:46)
  • Reverend Gwen Jones, St. John Baptist Church. “I thirst.” (John 19:30)
  • Reverend Ronald Sullivan, Catawba View Baptist Church, Old Fort, NC. “It is finished.” (John 19:30)
  • Elder Alfred Blount, Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church. “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” (Luke 23:46)

Holy Week Services are hosted by the Baptist Ministers Union of Asheville and Buncombe County, Dr. John H. Grant, President.
