Wortham Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Asheville is excited to present contemporary gospel group Trey McLaughlin & the Sounds of Zamar, on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2023, at 7 p.m. in the Diana Wortham Theater.

Founded by the immensely talented Trey McLaughlin in 2009, the ensemble quickly gained recognition for powerful and uplifting performances. Hailing from Augusta, Georgia, Trey McLaughlin began his musical journey in his church choir, where he discovered his passion for gospel music. His commitment to excellence in vocal arrangements and a deep connection to his faith laid the foundation for what would soon become a transformative musical experience. With the creation of the Sounds of Zamar, a group of equally gifted and dedicated singers, Trey set out to redefine gospel music for a new generation.
