online covid memorialA collective place to mourn and remember our friends, family members, and community members who have been lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic and poverty.

A nation that cannot grieve cannot heal. The COVID-19 pandemic has devastated our communities and has interrupted many of the rituals we have in place to deal with the pain of losing a loved one.

The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival has created a virtual memorial wall as a way to lift up the faces and stories of our loved ones lost to COVID-19 and poverty. This is a space to grieve their death and to celebrate their lives; lives of family, friends, colleagues, comrades, mentors and community members. And while we remember, we also rededicate ourselves to the work of building a moral movement to heal the nation.

If you have lost someone you care about to COVID-19 or poverty, you can add their name and picture to the memorial wall. Precious lives have been lost not only because of a virus, but because of the fissures of systemic racism and poverty that feed the virus.
