Author LaShunda Smith to Host Book Signing of her Motivational Book “I Double Dare You to Dream”
August 15, 2014 – Asheville, NC– Lashunda Smith will be hosting a book signing for her first book “I Double Dare You to Dream” August 30, 2014 at Olive or Twist Restaurant located at 81 Broadway, Asheville, NC.
The book “I Double Dare You To Dream” is a title that is self-explanatory. But it’s also so much more.
Author LaShunda Smith challenges you to look beyond your current circumstances, focus on whatever dream you have, and bull’s eye! Make that dream come to life.
“What inspires me is GOD, love, and the possibility to create a better tomorrow. Knowing that tomorrow gives me a second chance to be better than I am today,” remarks Smith about her book.
Through a life of struggle to help support her family by joining the military to do so, being released due to injury, and eventually moving to LA to pursue an acting career, Smith never lost sight of what she worked hard to obtain. “You have everything within you to be everything you want to be. You can be pitiful or powerful – it’s up to you to choose. Be the change you want to see,” Smith said.
The book also includes biblical messages and scriptures to daily life’s struggles and prosperity.
Smith is all about motivation and self-empowering entrepreneurship through her “D4G Collection” otherwise known as “Destined for Greatness”. The clothing line was designed to start positive conversations during daily travels. After all, you are what you wear! The clothing represents a business card of sorts, and through this, it is possible to find others with life goals similar to
your own.
A recent recipient of an MFA from the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, Smith’s plate is bountiful while simultaneously promoting her book, and pursuing her acting/directing career! She was a guest on the New Perspective radio show WRESfm.com in Asheville North Carolina, and interviewed by the former Mayor of Asheville, Terry Bellamy.
