Tried Stone Honors 2014 Graduates
On Sunday, June 29, Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church set aside time to honor their 2014 preschool, high school, and college graduates. During a brief ceremony, gifts were given, along with scholarships and an inspirational speech to the high school students as they venture off to college.
The high school graduates included Shauntel Goode, DeOnna Blount, Monique Gaines, Malik Smith, Adriance Edington, Brittany Crawley, and Sharmaine Heard.
Among the college students were five members who obtained Associate Degrees: Nirgeria Kincaid, Lateisha Dixon, Daphne Tate, Stephanie Taylor (not pictured), and Edric Chisholm (not pictured); one Bachelor’s graduate, Khadijah Smith; and four Master’s degree recipients, Wanda Hawthorne, Terry Bellamy, Valencia Smith, and Leonard Jones.
Also recognized were Adriance Edington, who graduated from T.C. Roberson High School with a 4.2 GPA; Shauntel Goode, who received CTE Honors from Asheville High School; and Khadijah Smith, who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Winston-Salem State University.
