If you were not able to be in attendance Sunday, April 13 at Nazareth First Baptist Church (Dr. Charles R. Mosley, pastor) you missed a spiritual treat. The program said it best: “Mrs. Lou Mosley [was] the educator, wife, mother, first lady, choir member, soloist, [and] chairperson of the scholarship committee. [She] was a true soldier in the army of God.

She was making plans to have a musical concert, but before her task was completed, our Heavenly Father called her from her labor to rest.

All of the
participants graciously offered their services. The committee
volunteered and worked together in harmony. Thanks to all of you for
your love and support.

The
committee members are Sisters Curetta Briggs, Trevor S. Chavis, Mary
Dawkins, Sarah Hart, Cheryl Z. Johnson, Jackie Hallum, Marion Thompson,
Mary J. Talford, and Lucille Ray, Chairperson.

The
mistress of ceremonies, Sister Marion Thompson, introduced the
participants: the Voices of Nazareth, Brother Palven Thompson, Brothers
of Faith, Sister Savonia Gilliam, the Seventh Day Adventist Choir under
the direction of Elder Calvin Carter and Brother Carl Mapp.

Also
appearing on the program were Brother George Love, the Weston Brothers,
Brother John Woods, and the Reynolds Miller Chorale under the direction
of Sister Trevor S. Chavis, with music provided by Sister Margaret
Kirkland.” The attendees were also blessed by the narration of the
talented Sister Lucille Ray.

For the
powerful finale, the combined choirs lifted up their voices in praise
singing with the “Hallelujah” chorus from Handel’s “Messiah.”

This concert was envisioned by the late Sister Lou Mosley. What a dream! What a vision!
