Asheville Retiree Publishes Book

Thomasine Fant Smith, of Asheville, NC, has published her first hard back book of poetry, entitled, “A Spiritual Awakening”. The book is comprised of 102 inspirational poems that come straight from her heart.
Thomasine has recited her poetry in church and at other social gatherings. Her fist poem, written in 1974, “The Aims in My Life”, was published by the National Library of Poetry in “Best Poems of 1997”. Another poem, “Life’s Ultimate Plan”, published by the Poetry Guild in “Even Then Even Now”, is also present in her new book, along with a poem about Asheville, entitled “The Land of the Sky”.
Thomasine
loves writing poetry — she believes it is her special gift from God,
and she wants to share it with others. Her book can be purchased at
Malaprop’s Bookstore, 55 Haywood Street in downtown Asheville.
