Living Treasures Seek Nominations
The Asheville Living Treasures committee is now accepting nominations for the Spring 2013 awards. Asheville Living Treasures is a non-profit organization whose mission is to honor the elders of Asheville and Buncombe County, age 70 and above, who have devoted their lives to making our communities a better place to live, by publicly honoring them and their achievements and recording oral histories of their lives for future generations.
The nominations will close on March 5, 2013 with the recognition ceremony scheduled for May 5, 2013.
Asheville Living Treasures has also added Matthew Bacoate, Roger Bargainnier, Rock Eblen, and Beverly Switzer to the selection and planning committee.
